When a hotel owner responds to hotel reviews…

Hotel reviews can be localized for one particular country. For example, FindThatHotel set up up by Raymond Brown is allowing their consumers to review up to 15,000 UK hotels (I didn’t even know there were that many hotels in the UK!). As you can see on their website, reviews are not just about hotels in big cities. FindThatHotel also awards every month the top 3 best rated hotels.

On another note, I was looking at the quality of the reviews and found reviews for the Tides Reach Hotel in Perranporth. You can see that the owner of the property John Boyle has responded to bad reviews. I think it is very important that hoteliers look at these reviews but also have a chance to respond to them as open as it is for consumers. In fact, I would even put a different logo / color code to differentiate between consumers and hotel owners. Again guest reviews should be a 2 ways conversation more than consumers pushing reviews on a website.
